m4h week 42 “my favorite space”

my favorite space is right behind the view finder. i love trying to capture what my eyes see, just being there is magical. it’s like you’re in another world when you look through the view finder. everything just vanishes around you, you become one with what you’re trying to capture and the experience never leaves you. it’s one of the things i won’t trade in the world..

i once seen this type of shot on flickr and i always wanted to try it but never had a second camera, so i figured i’d give it a try since i have another one now. i wish i remember who i seen this from, he/she had some amazing shots of Gettysburg monuments like this.

We live in a 1 1/2 story house and the entire upstairs is our bedroom. It’s by far my favorite place to go for some quiet time, but our kids also like to sneak up every now and then and cuddle on our bed.

One of my favorite spaces is this trailhead that ‘s a short walk from my house. It’s especially pretty in the fall and if you hike up a few miles, you can visit a meadow and a beautiful asoen grove ( and a little snow on this day).

We are pretty much finished decorating baby girl’s room, and as we wait anxiously for her arrival it is definitely my favourite room in the house. I can’t wait to spend late nights nursing and rocking her to sleep, to sit Sofia in the glider to hold her little sister and to make lots of memories in there. And I can tell Sofia loves the “baby room” too, cause she spends lots of time rocking her own baby in there already <3

it doesn’t look like much right now but that lake (Bear Lake) is one of my favorite places to be in the summer. The water is so clean and clear. I have many happy memories with family there. xo

Honestly, right now, it is color. I also have to tell you it is all things “Tuscan”. I took this shot in a vineyard as the fall colors are taking over and the last of the grape harvest is holding on. I fell in love with the color.

this was taken today on the farm where we live, about 3 paddocks up the lane. We love it here, I love it here. Having all this space for my girls to enjoy, having their dad working here, home for smoko, home for lunch. Being able to take the girls to see him & have a ride in the tractor, check the lambs, move stock around… We are, incredibly lucky to lead the life we do, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
