Last Week our theme was “Busy.” So many wonderful things came to mind, but I always love how out of the box you can be. I am really looking forward to hopping in our group and seeing exactly what you have been up to. So many wonderful, and creative individuals we have!
The winner will grab a $40.00 Gift Card to my shop (and if you have won in the past and haven’t yet claimed your prize please email me so I can set you up as well!) so please email me or use the blog contact form to claim your prize.

I can’t believe the changes in my little boy in the last 8 months. He’s gone from this quiet little gentle baby to a rough, boisterous little man (not to mention chatterbox).
Nothing is handled with care, he has to run (rather than walk) and is just on the go ALL the time. (He literally sat on the chair for about 3 seconds before running off again, I know to photograph QUICKLY when I have him in the frame now, hehe.)
Bikes, trucks, books, drawing, painting, rocks, dirt, sticks, diggers, ALL day long. From the time he wakes, to the time he lays down at night.
But we would never change it for the world.. would we? π I struggled with the theme a little this week so this was just playing around. I didn’t quite execute what I had pictured in my head but we went from an overcast day to sun shining down so we had to call it a day due to the light change and use what I had.
Lots of Eye Candy:

This week, I went to a boat cruise in Downtown Toronto for my real estate office’s annual summer party. It was an evening boat cruise, and I’ve never had the chance of taking pictures in Downtown Toronto at night.
So since it was a boat cruise, I decided not to bring my tripod. Big mistake. I figured out how difficult it really is to try to become a tripod, being still, while trying to take a hand-held picture at night, when it’s pitch-black, at ISO 1250, and the boat is moving, and there are people surrounding you from everywhere.
Yes, my camera’s ISO capabilities are to thank for whatever I did manage to photograph. But initially, my dad stole my camera, and started shooting at ISO 12800…then I realized all the noise I would see on my computer when I downloaded those shots, and how painful it would be to flip through those pictures.
I got a few good shots. I’m pretty happy.
Would love to go to Polson Pier one day and take some long exposures. I have definitely have to go before classes start! Can’t believe that four months of summer are almost over. Wow.
Anyways, back to unpacking. The boxes. never. end. Ahhh.
Cheers!
PS. I forgot, it was also really cold that night. Lol π

While I was in the kitchen frantically attempting to utilize our fresh produce, my 6 year old was in the backyard busying herself with snipping and arranging flowers. Love how we both felt called to use the gifts we’ve been given to beautify and enhance our little piece of the world. π

We have started a crazy adventure. An adventure that hopefully be part of our live forever in some way. An adventure of being closer together, and adventure of learning about and from each other, an adventure of learning about the world.
We have been slowly getting into our homeschool routines, next week will be our official start. The time to slow down and listen to each other with all the new changes, has been seriously amazing.

This guy is obviously the opposite of busy. But these days my little ones are so busy I can hardly keep up with them. I find little surprises every time I turn around. And then remind myself to stop being so busy and slow down and enjoy. I know this time will be fleeting. And one day will miss all their business. Sigh.

A local county fair was a busy place to be this week. Between the livestock barns, the food vendors and the midway rides, people were everywhere. I love sharing this tradition with my kids as it’s something I loved when I was little too.

This is my “baby” sister, Afton. Busy is a word that totally sums up her life. She moved to college yesterday, so she has been extra busy this week sorting, packing, and stressing over what she has to leave behind π For the past 4 years, Afton has been busy preparing herself for success. Because of her drive and ambition and willingness to sacrifice, she was a governor’s scholar, has already been to Australia, won a trip to Washington D.C., was an all-star volleyball player, and has earned a full scholarhip to college. I know I’m bragging, but I am just so very proud of her. I am sad that she is moving away, but I am excited to see what comes next for her. Busy…yes, she has been very busy! * And she told me she’d kill me if I posted this picture anywhere! LOL…she was obviously exhausted and not the diva she usually is! π

Quite appropriately I was really busy this week and had to ft in this weeks theme at short notice!
I was watering my parents garden for them whilst they were on holiday and on the way picked an immense amount of blackberries which ended up in an apple and blackberry crumble! So part of my busyness this week included picking these juicy gems :o) They taste even better cos they’re free!!

I shot this in my town’s Italian Market. I thought immediately to shoot at the Italian market because in all my travels the busiest place is an Italian Market!
Such great images as always. π The winning image is so creative!
