M4H P52 “Simple” Eye Candy
This week has been one of those wonderfully chaotic ones, but I haven’t had the chance to yet dip into our flickr pool and take in all your gorgeous images. Simple is often times the most beautiful, and I am so excited to see what you all have come up with so I am going to jump right in!
This week’s prize is a $40.00 Gift Card to my shop for any Photoshop Actions or Lightroom Presets. Please be sure to email me or use the blog contact form to claim your prize.

A dog’s life is simple. Give them some food, some love and some grass to run in and they will be happy.

Summer is all about being simple for our family. Throwing on flip flops, going for a walk and finding a dock as the sun goes down. I love these types of summer evenings! 🙂

This was a tough one for me. I’m a bit self conscious about my broad back, all those freckles, and the birthmark. But, this photograph symbolizes how I used to take my body for granted. I have frozen shoulder, and I cannot reach back to hook my bra with my other hand, or use it for many other “simple”, everyday tasks I took for granted. I vow to appreciate all the amazing things my body can do, and to take better care of it.

She turned her head just as I was snapping a photo. And I kind of love it.
The simplicity of her messy, summer, just got home from swimming curls, and licking an ice cream on a sunny summer day.

Back when life was simple, right? This is in Castle Combe, England. Such a beautiful little village. We owe this stop to my 16 year old’s 8th grade obsession with small English villages. She had a whole list of them for us to visit!

Reflecting Sunset
On vacation in Lake Powell, keeping it simple. 7 days on a 60 foot houseboat, 9 people, including 3 Grandchildren and their mommies and daddies. My husband and I slept on top of the houseboat, and this was the site we woke up to.

With life so chaotic, simple moments like these mean everything. A barbershop haircut and a sucker. Good stuff.

Oh, to be two again. To toddle around in my mini overalls with my wispy hair tucked into a little bun. To read Corduroy with my mom. To be tackled & tickled by my dad. To play dress up with my sisters. To have an unrestrained, wild imagination. To have my best friends nearby & never be worried that they would leave. To see unlimited good in the world. To be myself & not care what others thought. To live life so freely & simply. Oh, what I would give to be two again.

A little macro shot of a lily in my front yard…I flipped my 50mm around since I don’t actually have a macro lens. It’s a lot harder than the article that I read makes it sound!

Life is simple through the eyes of a 4 year old. He likes to make up his own rules for this game. I kinda like his rules, they are much easier than the real rules of Life.

Sure, she loves big, fancy toys. But she also gets endless entertainment out of the simple things. Like finally being able to reach the front doorbell. Today she went outside on an hourly basis to “practice”. I agree with all the parents out there who have wondered why they spent money on kid gear when the kids are perfectly happy with empty boxes, pots and pans, or – in this case – the doorbell. Just keep it “simple”!

These are dear family friends. I asked them for a photo and at this point I said “look at each other, romantically”. As a joke, since they’re both so not.
The result was this. Not being able to hold it together. I love it.
