How refreshing !!! We live in the great state of Minnesota land of the Bi-Polar spring lol we have spent the past month living in continuos snow/sleet and freezing rain/temperatures. FINALLY spring has graced us with her presence. I found it refreshing to once again enjoy shooting my babies in the lovely sunshine and warmth. My son was all to excited to swing his heart out 🙂

“Refreshing” Week 19 Project 52

My parents winter in the South, every year as soon as they are back in Michigan we make the two hour drive to spend a few days on their lake with them. Summer is my favorite season for a number of reasons but mainly because I love spending time with my parents and I love for my children to spend time with them as well. This weekend it was so refreshing to be with them again and to watch the sun set over the lake each night.

Over the past few weeks I’ve felt really frustrated with my photos. I’ve been trying to hone my technical skills and had gotten so bogged down with the technical that I had lost all passion for shooting. Last week I met up with some local photographers, and still felt no passion to shoot, but the next morning as I was looking through some of the images they had captured the previous day, something stirred within my soul. I bribed my youngest daughter to dress up and venture out with me on a morning sunrise walk, it was there that my soul was refreshed as I laid the technical aside and shot from my heart, capturing this moment as my daughter looked for sunbeams to catch.

A lot of rain is always refreshing. Gotta love the bright and beautiful colours of spring.

I’ve been learning CSS and HTML5 for the past few days, and now I’m starting jQuery and a little bit of Javascript. It’s so intriguing to learn about these things. I’ve only really done HTML before. I really want to design my own website once I learn bits and pieces of all the different languages.

Marks were a little disappointing this semester. Did better in courses that I thought I wasn’t going to do well in, and my favourite courses brought me down.

Oh well. Pressing refresh. One more year to go and I’ll be done undergrad.
