“Work Ethic” M4H 13/52 [Pride & Joy]
My work ethic has always been something I’m proud of. The only way I could think of capturing this was to capture the madness on my desk. This is my pile of work and tools helping me complete that work. It’s spring break, and I’m working on lesson plans, cleaning up stuff I don’t have time for normally, etc. Know right now there is a teacher somewhere taking time out of their lives for your child. In my case, I teach over 100 students. I really do need to find a balance.

Project 52 -13/52 Pride and Joy
The last few weeks have been a little rough for Lucas. He came down with bronchiolitis suddenly Tuesday night and had to be hospitalized. He is home now on oxygen and for a sensory kid, it’s been really hard on him. He’s been working through it though and kept his cannula on all day. I’m proud of this boy and thankful he is doing well now.
If you knew Lucas, you could easily understand why he is my pride and joy. He has a sweetness about him that is unlike anyone I know. It’s as if it is not possible for him to have hate inside him. He teaches me everyday what it is to love and be loved. He is my pride and joy.

My little brother graduated the firefighting academy this week. He’s worked so hard for so long and we’re so proud. I loved this image of him walking in, looking ahead, with members of the old guard, looking to the past. He’s our pride and joy this week.

These are the prayers of my heart!

It is with much pride that I show you this picture. Very proud that I was able to get Ollie to sit, stay, keep his ears on, look at the camera and importantly, not eat the chocolates. I hope it brings you some joy too! Happy Easter everyone.

Week 13 {Pride & Joy}
If you know me at all, you know that my {pride & joy} is, and always has been my family. Not only are my three boys and husband my {pride & joy} but I am also blessed with amazing parents, great brothers and sisters and adorable nieces and nephews. We spent Good Friday together at my parents place and all of my brothers, nephews (and even my two year old niece) played hockey all day long. It was a beautiful day. So for Week 13 {Pride & Joy} I am choosing a couple images that really tell the story of my family…..my pride & joy. They aren’t all in this image, but a majority of them are!

I’m positive every mother out there will say that their children are their pride and joy. This momma is no different…I am proud to have 2 such amazing boys and I cherish all of the joy they bring into my life. As a mother, I also get to feel pride in the things they accomplish and goals they achieve. There is no limit in the pride I have in my boys and the joy they bring. My cup runneth over.

M4H 13/52: Pride and Joy. This is the (spare) key to my house. Ten years ago, when I was twenty-six years old, I bought a house. Carlos and I bought a house. All by ourselves. Nobody helped us. We decided we were going to do it and we did and buying our (tiny, sometimes frustrating) home still remains one of the proudest moments of my life. Also, the key is on my kitchen table, a vintage yellow Formica table, which I performed an extensive search for. That table brings me lots of joy!

as a mom, of course my girls are my pride & joy. i sometimes just stare at them in complete adoration and can’t believe these little beings are mine. i’m so blessed that i am their mom, but before becoming a mom, i was very career driven and i left it all behind. i still struggle with this decision every single day and am so glad that i have found photography. it’s my therapy, my work, my family’s memories – my pride & joy.

There are many things that make me proud including my journey with my photography. But nothing makes me more proud than watching my little boy with his daddy. A feeling every mother knows and understands.

M4H 13:52 | Pride and Joy
Being a mom…my two (soon to be three) little people…that’s my pride and joy. When I was little, I always answered the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” by saying a mom. That was my dream, but back then I never thought I’d be able to be a stay at home mom. However, circumstances made it that way when my daughter was a little over two months old. God works in unexpected ways, and I am truly thankful. The past six years at home with my little people has been the most amazing blessing.

13/52: Pride & Joy
I am so proud of my photography skills and how far I’ve come the past couple of years. I try to take time every week (this project helps!) to shoot for *me* not just for my business. Flowers and still-life, that’s where I started. So that’s where I always end up when I need inspiration.

~ Pride and Joy ~
While my children are the obvious answer that came to mind, the real answer is more complex. The best way I could find to show it was this…our heritage and the heritage we are passing on to our family — the love for other cultures and people and the wonder and exploration of the world, along with the recognition of their roots and even the more abstract ideals and values we hold are our pride and joy to entrust to their hands.

W13 Project 52 Pride and Joy
Our Spring Break mini-vacation ended up being cold and snowy. A lot of our plans were ruined, but we still managed to have a good time, and I still managed to get some photo opportunities! Photography is definitely a “joy” for me. It is also something that I’m proud of. It’s taken years to get to the point where I can capture just what I’m thinking in my head. I knew I wanted to capture this type of shot, and I enjoyed finding the right spot and the right light to do it in (even though it meant heading off the main road and freezing to do it!)

P52/Week 13: “Pride and Joy”
I remember seeing the very common saying “Pride and Joy” for the first time after I became a mom. It was on a little refrigerator magnet photo frame that someone had gifted to me. I didn’t think much about it, but as I installed the photo of little baby Nico into it, my heart swelled and a big light bulb moment occurred.
I suddenly and completely understood the meaning of that expression for the first time in my life. Really understood it. Pride and Joy… not just two run-together words to make an expression I’d heard always dismissed, but, two separate and wonderful things.
Pride. Joy.
It was so poignant it brought tears to my eyes. (Big surprise, I was either post-pardum or already pregnant with Enzo and well, let’s face it, I’m a cryer. ha ha)
Since then, both of my boys have given me many, many, many reasons to feel pride and joy and to cry for it. Sometimes for really big accomplishments, sometimes for small realizations. And even for this seemingly minute, always-expected-but-I-can’t-believe-it’s-here milestone…
They’re now both taller than me and have made me the shortest person in the house. Maybe I’m supposed to be annoyed or disappointed, or even cursing time for not slowing down, but, nope… Nothin’ but PRIDE and JOY for this Mama. It reminds me that in their lives, they’ll do more, achieve more and be more than I ever could have hoped for myself.

My boys (one of whom is featured here) truly are my pride and joy. I am more proud of their accomplishments which range from correctly sounding out and writing letters for my older one to rolling over or sitting up for my littlest little than any of my own.
So many gorgeous images {as always}
I feel so lucky to have my image chosen as eye candy ♥
