M4H P52 | Composed Eye Candy
Every week get’s better and HARDER to choose. I find myself with more and more images to cull through and at the end of the day I always end up just to feature as many as I possibly can. I love all the different flavors, perspectives and the variation in images in general and this week just showed how versatile and AMAZING you all are. I am soooo blown away!!

Composition
The composition of my fourth grade class – at least in part.
I had to retake some of my students’ beginning of the year photos and I looked over and saw a few of them sprawled on the tile, waiting their turn (it’s been so hot here!) and suddenly I had an idea for our theme this week! I saw an image similar to this somewhere not that long ago (wish I knew where!) and decided I had to try it right then!
I have two other images in my photo stream, but in honor of school beginning this week, I knew right away this would be my choice! I ended up taking three separate images as suddenly my whole class wanted to be part of the “heart” photo. Can’t wait to hang them in my classroom!

This week has started off with a hurricane in our Gulf waters, for the past few days we have been inside waiting for the storm… today if finally sprinkles in and I decide to go out with my little girl and play in it between the rain bands.

A “superimposed composition”!
This theme inspired me to take elements of 2 very different photos – one of my niece and a separate photo of a wet window (that I had in my collection).
I love how the big splotch sits just under her eye.

M4H project 52 ~ week 35 (composition)
I almost missed this week! Between a hurt back and a dramatic start to kindergarten for my little boy it was a rough and busy week. I wanted to get some shots at sunset of my little girl in her sparkly dress but we even missed that. whew! I must say I’m happy this week is over. This isn’t the shot I envisioned but it will have to suffice.

Bennie Boo and Mater
I love details. Benson loves his blanket and paci. He has recently discovered his older brother’s Cars toys and LOVES all things Mater. He even loves this book, “Mater Saves Christmas”. I’ve caught him “reading” it a couple of times throughout the day. I just love when they study things.

Week 35 ~ A Composition of Beauty
The My Four Hens Project 52 theme this week is composed! Since this week was all about composition, I thought I’d try something a little different. Usually I shoot in landscape orientation, so I chose portrait. And I played more with color and placement within the frame. I’m so enjoying these themes, Sarah Cornish!!!

M4H Week 35/Compose
Not very often do I do a “stylized” photo session, but for the last couple of years for my daughter’s birthday we have been having theme parties and photo shoots to go with. My 7 year old girl has been expressing a lot of interest in being a movie star and I thought it would be fun to recreate one of the well know classics and actresses. Here we are doing our best to recreate Breakfast At Tiffany’s in small town northern Minnesota. She sure had a wonderful time getting all dolled up.

Lighting and composition. My Four Hens 34/52
My son at a local look out, right before school started for him. I was really trying to watch the light on this day…where it was coming from, etc.
I was glad to find I’d paid attention and grabbed some dramatic light to capture my sweet Kindergartner.

This week I had the chance to shoot these love birds’ engagement pictures and the place was just so perfect! There was a fountain and musicians playing the violin just for them; a bunch of people looking how they got wet in the fountain. It was so romantic and well composed! 🙂
