M4H P52 Eye Candy | Wild Card
I am getting this up a bit late due to all the traveling but wanted to make sure I posted this before we leave for CT this weekend! Our summer travels are slowly coming to an end so I am so excited for some normalcy and my routine. You never realize how much you appreciate it until its not there anymore huh?!
Lets get right to it!!

Week 30/52 – Euphoria
I’m sorry this was a little late! I went to go camping for the past few days, but the photo was taken last Friday (so I’m not cheating).
The beautiful girl on the left (camera left) is my cousin and the other beautiful girl on the right is her friend and we had a little photoshoot this past Friday. One of their friends are going to the US for a year and so they wanted to give her a memory of the two of them! When my cousin received the photos she was so happy with them and I was so thrilled she loved them! It’s one of the best feelings when the people you photograph love their photos – that makes me experience pure euphoria and I’m sure my cousin experienced euphoria when she saw the photos because of the way she sounded and reacted! So happy!
PS. Yesterday I got a letter that said I was accepted at the university, so I’m very excited about that and I’m thrilled to start a new chapter of my life as a university student! I hope I’m going to love it and that I will make it through for next 5 years! I still hope to take photos along with studying and I hope I can manage it all π
Have an amazing week everyone!

Wild card week!
I will post this photo I took after a short trip to Sephora. My little girl wanted all things bright and sparkley. She wanted the blue eye shadow, the sparkle purple liquid liner, and the hella red lipstick. What is a girl to do?
She also wanted to wear this shirt, it is my shirt. I let her wear it, as a dress. She is so opinionated on her style already, I do not know where she gets it from because I am the total opposite. She puts together looks better then I do, at age 34. Fun times in our further!

M4H Project 52 Week 31 | Wildcard
I have fallen a bit behind in my project. Shot this for a client and it instantly became a favorite of mine. Something about a little one finding comfort whether it be sucking a thumb (as my 6-year old still does) or a particular lovie, just melts my heart.

The mama sparrow’s babies have finally hatched. My kids and I have been watching her nest in our bougainvillea tree for some time. The shells are so tiny and fragile. It just amazes me!

Week 31: Wild Card
Magic is my pick for the week. I’m really inspired by a few photographers and the magic they bring to their images. My photography style is natural, pure images but I love adding a touch of magic in there from time to time (especially since I live in the desert and dont get to photograph places like this often!)

Week 31- Wild Card
I always struggle with Wild Cards! I don’t know what to do without a theme! However, I finally got my baby girl to the beach today (even though we don’t have much of a sandy beach here in Washington State). She was thrilled with the sand and kept stopping her sand castle building to show me her gorgeous sand covered hands!

celebration of life
I was so incredibly honored to be a part of this family’s “celebration of life” memorial.
he was a husband/dad/grandfather who left this world way too soon.
I hope they feel I captured the joy of his life and the sadness of his departure well.

I’m glad this was a wildcard week since I’ve had a crazy week. I helped my daughter move out of our home into her first apartment for college. We’d spent the day cleaning her apartment and moving in her things. We were both exhausted. She didn’t want me to but I snapped this picture as I was leaving her for the first time. I’m so glad I took it! I’ll treasure it forever.

I wonder what she is thinking, gazing at me this way. I came into her room with my camera to capture her reading in the sunlight. Even though she hardly complains about being photographed, I did get the distinct feeling on this day it was not something that sounded fun. Still, I did get a few images which I will put in my photo stream, but this image of her initial reaction to my request is what grabbed me this week.

Bennie boo likes to dance. I took this little series yesterday afternoon. He pats the sides of his legs and sways back and forth, moving his little booty all while laughing and smiling. Then he claps for himself when he’s done…he knows he’s done a fantastic job and that he looks super duper cute doing it.
He is my little “wildcard” π

Project 52: Week Thirty-One: Wildcard
This week was a wild card so the theme is “TuTu Cute” (get it? ha!) I did this little one’s 6th month photos which started outside but quickly moved inside because she did NOT like the humidity and heat. She was much more content in a climate controlled environment!! How cute is she!!!
she did this braid all by herself π

Week 31 ~ Simple Beauty
There is no My Four Hens Project 52 theme this week so we could shoot what we wanted. You know how much I love macro so at lunch today, I looked outside the restaurant and found this little beauty. No matter what is going on in my life or in the world, simple beauty is always all around us. I hope everyone is having a lovely week!

A friend of mine is having all of her bridesmaids carry something that represents the amor of God instead of carrying a bouquet–this will represent the feat fitted with readiness. Feeling blessed for my photo to help represent something so precious.

My daughter had such a great time washing the car on this afternoon. Once the car was cleaned she had even more fun running and playing in the water and soap left behind.
I had a great time capturing this every day moment. They are always my favorite.

Wild “card”
It all started 10 days before my 10th wedding anniversary with a small card on my bathroom mirror. One side stated, “2001” (the year we were engaged), the other side an attribute that he loves about me. This went on every day, consecutive years, unique attributes, different locations (my coffee cup, the computer, the steering wheel) leading up to a one-night getaway to where it all began… How wonderfully creative and romantic. I am flattered, honored, and loved by an amazing man for 10 years. Happy Anniversary, my true love! (I am treasuring each of these notes in my jewelry box – honestly they are worth more to me than the gold and jewels π

For Wild Card week, I decided to use this shot of a Saskatchewan summer storm. I took it as I was coming home from a walk with my family.
We’ve had a lot of crazy storms this summer, but although this one looks angry it wasn’t a bad one.
Nature is amazing and I’m constantly intrigued by what it can do. I prefer to watch from afar though and I’m thankful that we’ve been spared any storm damage so far!
Thank you, Sarah, for including my image in this week’s share!!! <3 I am so very honored! π
Wow. Just, wow. All of those photos are just gorgeous, and mine is up there with them. My heart is happy to see how much my skills have improved over the past few months.
