The sweetest family met me in the mountains for a surprise session for Mama. I have never met a more soulful or inspiring crew. I love their hearts and the moments they gave me.
It has sure been a year of high and lows, but being able to channel pain into art brings healing... and beauty. We played and cuddled and splashed in the Colorado Mountains.
Every family I photograph has a story all their own. Like each one of us, the commonality is that even though it isn’t always happy or easy or uncomplicated, they are beautiful.
I don’t want to forget that there is imagination in everything. I don’t want to forget that spontaneity can be perfection. Most of all I don’t want to forget that babies rarely ever stay just that and every stage, every milestone is fleeting and important and significant. I don’t want to forget what it feels to be needed. I don’t want to forget this.
