Hi Everyone! So its a bit later in the day then I usually post this but wanted to get it up for everyone! Last week’s theme was Yellow and I was blown away by the flickr pool!! Heres some of my favs!

My garden is lacking the beautiful summer colours as winter slowly creeps in… just as I was about to lose faith that all my summer colour had vanished, this glimpse of yellow caught my eye.
And how could I miss it? It’s such a vibrant, happy and wonderful colour 🙂

I drove by this barn on my way home and the old coca cola signs they have used as patching work on the side… it caught my eye for a variety of reasons.. but the yellow pops too! Hope you like it… I have a collection of old barns.. and this one is now a new favorite.

Week 22 for Project 52 – 2012
I love playing around with macro photography and the spring and summer have so many subjects to offer. This fun yellow flower is in our front flower bed – I have no idea what it is, but it reminds me of a Muppet’s furry little head of hair!

Yellowish-green:)) Morning after very heavy rain and heavy fog my little man was outside playing and he said you have to come and take pictures of the spider webs, they were all over our dogwood tree and saturated with little pellets of water…I love the way it turned out!!

Week 22: Yellow
When the new theme is posted each week, I end up seeing my surroundings differently. I never realized how surrounded we are by yellow. This turned out to be a very fun project! My son and I spent the evening driving around looking for different things that are yellow. Of course we had to add McDonalds because you see it everywhere. My son found the yellow phone, I’m so happy he did. The yellow light was the biggest challenge of this whole collage. For some silly reasons all the other cars didn’t want to wait for me, lol, I ended up going to a nonbusy side of an intersection.

My courageous 12 year old sister is still going through chemo. The amazing gift of a small yellow feeding tube keeps her strong. Who knew that this shade of yellow will always remind me of her. Stay strong Emily, Sissy loves you very much ♥

The yellow marigold reminds me of my mom because she planted them in her flower beds when I was growing up.
This potted marigold is a gift my kindergartener made at school for me for Mother’s Day this year.

Today is National Cancer Survivor Day. I am a 2-time thyroid cancer survivor. I am so very thankful that I am able to call myself a survivor. I am also thankful to call my mom, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, and so many friends survivors. This year marks my 6th year of being cancer-free, so that’s why I chose to photograph 6 Livestrong bands. Their motto is, “Unity is Strength, Knowledge is Power, Attitude is Everything”. I couldn’t agree more!

Summer is finally here! Yay! We planted our very first vegetable garden about 4 weeks ago and we have been busy busy keeping it watered and weeded. So glad I have my little helper to do all these things with me. 🙂

I was blessed to meet these beautiful people in a small village in the middle of the African bush just this past week. While I love this picture for many obvious reasons, the thing I love most about it is they are listening intently as my dear friend shared with them the sweet news of Jesus. For many, it was the first time they had heard.
Glorify God. Advance the gospel.
