This never gets easier! I love you showing you all off though and going through the entries every week. It may be a bit of extra effort but so worth it! You are all just amazing and I can honestly say I had seen so much growth in so many since we began this journey a few months a go!!

One thing I must say I love most about this project is getting to see all the different personalities come through all your submissions. The way you all see the themes from your own perspectives. All the different flavors, the creativity. Its really inspiring and so uplifting! Just when I think it couldn’t get better you all just blow me away the next week.

She’s our blue eyed girlie girl.. don’t know where those baby blues came from or that blonde curly hair for that matter! But she sure has a sweet personality and brings a whole lot of nurturing love to our little family.

(btw, oh boy that expression.. the only way I can get her to sit down and grasp her attention for a split second is to have her use her imagination as I tell her a story. she was quite intrigued as I was telling her the story of the big hungry bear and the red ripe strawberry! too cute.)

11/52 – Blue

Blue – It’s my favorite color. It’s vibrant, it’s beautiful, it makes me smile when I see it. It’s the color of the ocean, the sky, and my little boy’s curious and innocent eyes.

My mom- she’s a seamstress. She makes her living fixing and altering people’s clothing to fit them perfectly. She is a magician. She’s made us wonderful Halloween costumes from scratch, hemmed every single pair of our pants (and that’s a lot considering I have 3 sisters and we all hover around 5 feet tall!) and managed to fix rips and tears in our favorite clothes so that they appear to be brand new. I’ve seen her completely disassemble a wedding gown and then painstakingly replace each shining bead to its original splendid home. She’s always got bits of threads stuck to her clothes and pins fastened to her shirt, and many times she stays up late into the night to finish one of her “projects”.

Today I was walking through her sewing room when the bright blue spools on the wall caught my eye. It was then that I knew I wanted to pay tribute to both my favorite color and my mother this week – and this is the end result. Enjoy!

This was my second time taking water drop pictures, and it’s really fun to do! I enjoy looking at the pictures afterwards to see what I’ve captured. I’d love a macro lens, but for now, my extension tubes are very pacifying!

When the theme went up this week, I was amazed at how it turned my brain on to look at all of the blue things around me. I have had this Murano glass plate for a long time and I have always loved it. The sun decided to come out today and caused this great reflection of blues! Comments welcome.

We have been having some GORGEOUS weather this week in Iowa! So we have finally been able to play outside! This image immediately caught my eye. I loved the hazy light, the cuteness of her knocked knees and the way the sky almost made a blue vignette. She loves to play and dance with this homemade flag, her imagination is amazing…I love childhood. Can I just freeze her at this age?!?

It’s looking through a bottle. I love the recycle symbol in the bottom, reminds me of the water cycle and how precious water is to us!

A ‘Monster Bath’ is a special treat in our hose; food coloring and bubble bath is all it takes! As soon as the M4H ‘Blue’ theme was announced I was pleased that the current ‘monster’ color we have in the cupboard is blue!
