M4H Project 52 | Wild Card Winner and Feature

    As some of you know I just spent an AMAZING week with my hubby in Vegas for WPPI! It was crazy, and fun but my goodness I missed my babies so much and am so so happy to be home. Playing catch up is going to be daunting but I am so excited to get back here and get back on a routine. Unfortunately my project is slacking a tad so I will also be playing a big game of catch up with that as well!!

    I am going to post the winner of this week and get some beautiful photos featured here to show some of you awesome peeps off here!! Forgive this being so belated being away has really put a dent in my routine LOL!

    This week my sweet sister helped me pour through the gallery and choose a winning photo. It was SO hard to choose on my own. I actually must say I really enjoyed the “Wild Card” theme because I got a ton of insight into your own lives and it was nice to really gives you (and myself) creative freedom to let loose and photograph what YOU really want to!

    The winning photo this week resonated with me on so many levels. Parenthood is hard enough without juggling a photography business and when I caught her image in the Flickr pool I knew it was the one! Its pretty amazing (and self explanatory) so I am going to just post it and I am sure you will agree it is nothing short of incredible! Not only for its story but the technical end of it as well!!

    Congrats to Tonya Cook! Contact me via this contact form to claim your prize (up above.) You have won a $25.00 gift card to Amazon.com.

    Week 7/52 M4H {Wildcard – Free Spirit}

    My little girl at just three and a half years young loves to explore life and taste new experiences. She holds true to herself and is not influenced by what the masses around her are doing. Living life to the fullest, she experiences all the joy it has to offer. She is a joy to be around and it makes me feel wonderful being around her and to be her Mumma πŸ™‚

    (I’m loving the new M4H Serendipity presets! I processed this shot with ‘Pop and Warm up my Flare’ preset plus a little bit of texture and Pretty Hazy action).

    I took this picture today and I just LOVE it. Cannot even describe it but it makes me feel good. I’ve had a hard past few weeks with losing my father and just trying to get things together and figure out what’s next but this looked like a beautiful jumble to me. It really made me smile.

    7:52 Wildcard ~ Life's Nameless Face

    Caption:
    7:52 Wildcard ~ Life’s Nameless Face

    I struggled when I took this shot and I once again struggle as to share it or not. Yet — the image is part of life. Everywhere we go we see them — the faces of the homeless. We wonder who they are what is their stories.

    When I saw her so many emotions filled my soul. Before i shot this she looked at me and I her — and for a moment it was as if there was this silent dialogue — where she summed me up and then looked away — she never spoke.

    That moment of our ‘meeting” was an odd feeling…it was as if in that human moment she felt that I wasn’t shooting her image to make fun of her but rather she felt or knew I was capturing it as a reflection and reality of life…and she felt safe and unharmed.

    To honor her trust of me I purposely shot the image placing her as if she is going off the frame…rather than having her fill the frame. In this image you see the exact moment when our eyes met…

    The raw emotions of life…
