M4H Project 52 Week 6 Winner and some Eye Candy
If you are looking for week Seven’s theme you can click right HERE for more info.
This week’s Favorite as always was no easy feat to choose! I finally came upon it though and honestly it just grabbed me from the moment I saw it!! The theme for last week was “Emotion” and boy there was some amazing photos in the flickr pool (as always!) Mine is going to be a teensy bit late because while I took a few mine will come tomorrow when my littles see their auntie for the first time in months. We recently moved across country and they were used to seeing her everyday so it will no doubt be an emotional reunion!!
This photo just floods in all that motherhood embodies to me. The simple yet captivating composition, the story that it conveys with no words at all. I just love it so much!!

This weeks theme is something that I really, really want to work on in my photography. I snapped this one tonight of my Ethan kissing his little sister. I’m so amazed and touched everyday by how much he loves on her all the time!

This week didn’t go as planned. I’ve been super sick all week so photos taking has been far and few between. I was hoping for a more technically great photo but I finally settled on this shot of my son. With that sweet emotion of joy on his face. Is there anything kids love more than bubbles?

I hope that this picture of “emotion” elicits an emotion from you, the viewer.
Whether disgust at my dark sense of humour, a smile ’cause you too have a dark sense of humour or indifference because you don’t think it’s even funny.
I’m curious to hear what sort of emotion it evoked π
Oh, and if it’s any help, their friend ended up in a lovely batch of strawberry and cream cupcakes, so not all bad, I promise π

Had a really tough time thinking of an idea. I went with this as I got some frustrating news this week but I’m feeling really, really hopeful. I teach my students to be positive thinkers and so I’m trying to take my own advice!

Last weekend I got myself this book and i can’t stop reading it. After only a few chapters I felt like I’m doing something right, but that I still have so much to learn. I can only recommend this book to everybody that likes to get their creative juices flowing and knows, we’re never done learning.

There is just something about the rain.
It’s calming. It’s an excuse to stay inside and cuddle your two year old whom just yesterday was only minutes old. It’s refreshing. It nourishes the flowers and makes you feel happy for them. It’s a memory of your childhood. It reminds you to slow down. It’s a favorite song, a first kiss, the 1st cry of your newborn baby, the passing of a loved one, the memories of wonderful times spent with the ones we love. It’s emotional.

Today was a day of many emotions for me & certainly brought a few tears. My husband (and fellow photographer) and I signed the lease for our first Studio, which brought excitement, happiness, relief, anticipation, the list that could go on forever.. I had a wonderful day until this evening when I received something that brought quite the opposite emotions. Frustration, anger, stress and most of all disappointment that I had one of the most exciting days of my life taken and stomped on. But then came the most important part, my brother. For the last decade my brother has often been my everything. Not only my brother but my Mom, my Dad, my Brother & my Best Friend. He has been my support and my inspiration and someone I not only look up to but hold close in my heart. In the last decade when there were many times that we only had each other, we also lived worlds apart. He served in Afghanistan twice while I remained here (in Canada), he came back & we lived almost 3hrs apart and now he serves as a police officer & we live on opposite ends of the province. I cannot wait for the day we live closer again, but until then there are phone calls, and that is what I received tonight. A phone call from my brother to say that he was proud of me. He doesn’t know it but those words made my previous anger disappear & make me remember what today was all about. I have been through a lot & worked hard to get where I am & still have very far to go. But without him I would never have made it as far as I have & for that I am very grateful. He means the world to me for always being there.
Congratulations everyone! You all did magnificently! Im happy to see some of my favorites up here!
SO many awesome photos here. Nice work all!
Hi,
Could you post the link to the p52 Flicker group? I’d love to join if it is not too late. Thanks so much!
OH my GOSH, I was featured! Thank you, Sarah! This is incredibly inspiring to me, and I am so proud of myself for all the progress I’ve made.
All of these Emotion photos are so phenomenal; I can barely believe that I am up there, too. Especially the last one by Jillian Whitman – it’s stunningly, honestly beautiful!
