Love just isn’t a strong enough word | Waterford, CT Photographer

Anyone in New England knows that the weather here is completely unpredictable. You really gotta love New England to love the weather. It can change on the drop of a hat and the forecast day to day is totally unreliable. When I arranged to meet Cory and her gorgeous family we had a date set and were ready to go. Unfortunately the weather had other plans and we had to reschedule.Β  The rain date fortunately panned out and we met at Harkness Park in Wateford. A lot of people that do photos there request the gardens but my confession is I prefer the much less utilized areas of the park. In the very back I knew of this super pretty yellow barn and old house. I actually love this old house and barn so much I wish I could buy it. Seriously. I wish I could own it. I would set up shop right there. It is so perfect. The little apple trees, the old creaky house, the little quirks and *sigh* that barn. It really doesn’t get much more gorgeous then that. Cory was down and I was ecstatic. She came with her gorgeous family and we got to work. I have to say I have a very special love for children of photographers. Not only are the incredibly photogenic but they are so comfortable with the camera. The family is totally at ease and okay to roll with the punches and honestly my creative vision can be a bit “Out there” so its nice to be able to go with whatever direction my space case brain is pulling me in.

So anyhow back to C’s gorgeous family. They came with fun props and the most gorgeous hair and freckles I have ever seen. We just clicked. Just like that. SO much so that I can’t wait to visit miss Cory at her home soon when we both get a break from busy season. And she is even helping me lead the Clickinwalk in Mystic, CT coming up soon in October. If you are interested in info about signing up and hanging out with us you can find that HERE.

Cory’s family has the longest gallery in history of any family I have ever photographed. I couldn’t put the camera down. They were just so easy going. They were actually ushering us out of the park before I was ready lol! I could take photos for them all day no lie! To be totally honest though my favorite thing of photographing their family wasn’t even the fact that they were so beautiful or so sweet. They just loved each other so much. The connection was so real. So raw. You could feel the love oozing out of ever pore, and ever crack and crease. It was such a privilege just to be around them. It was inspiring.Β  I apologize in advance for the extra long sneak peek. Its just so hard to condense with SO many favorites.

I didnt think it was possible to have a session I love more than the beach one you know I adore…but I think I found a new one. These are beyond stunning. Today I am mourning my cancellation and not having the beauty you capture of each family. You have a gift beyond words.
