A Special Reminder | Personal Alert

I get asked all the time what my business name is. I guess My Four Hens is a kind of an odd thing to name your business. The cold hard truth.. I am actually kind of afraid of birds LOL! Yes I know. I am always paranoid I am going to get pecked at or pooped on. Gross.. I know. But my last name is actually Cornish for those that don’t know. I am blessed with four beautiful amazing children and they are my inspiration so I couldn’t think of anything more appropriate when naming my business years back. I don’t share photos of ALL my children often. As a matter of fact my boys generally hate to have their photo taken and unfortunately the end result is 98989438 photos of my girls and my poor boys looking a bit under appreciated. Well this Mother’s Day I was given the best gift ever! This gift trumped all gifts that came before. All gifts from Christmas, to birthdays to well even other Mother Days. My children and my husband planned a very special day for me. They took me to some of my favorite locations, they endured many hours of photos and clothing changes on an unsavory rainy foggy chilly weather day. We had a blast. I have never felt so much contentment. I got the vibe the kids enjoyed themselves just as much too!! Now I warn you. There is a LOT of photos here. Some are from the following week when we got to go back out and explore another location I had heard of in Hartford (umm hello gorgeous park!) But I really want to share with you all the most important people in my life being photography is in fact such a personal business to be in. I also want to remind you to treat your kids as you would your own clients from time to time if you are a photographer. I found when I let the sit and smile now damn it attitude I usually approach our family photos with I really had an amazing time! I sense a new family tradition!
