Things I love Thursday

I thought it would be fun to post a little something something on things I love now and again. They can be things I recently purchased. Things relating to family life. My randomness  kinda shines through now and again lol!

This week I am focusing on websites that I frequent and LOVE! Lock up those pocketbooks though because if you are anything like me they can certainly make you go for broke lol!

    1. Facebook. Social networking is all the rage! Yes I suppose everyone loves Facebook. I love that I am able to keep tabs on my favorite shops and that includes the bigger chain stores like Children’s Place as well as the smaller more specialized shops that are Etsy based. I can keep up with friends, family and customers and exchange cheesy love notes with my husband during the day lol! I have my own fan page here if you ever want to pop in an say hi! I check it frequently and loveeee to meet my clients before I even have the pleasure of photographing their family so don’t be shy!

    2. Pinterest. Its a new and VERY addictive site! As a photographer I am a bit of a creative soul and find inspiration everywhere and in everything I see, smell and touch! I haven’t been using it as much the past couple of weeks but its an amazing way to connect with other like and I suppose some not so like minded people and to get and stay inspired! My husband and I have talked many a time about photography and photographers in general. We both agree that photographers tend to see the world in a different way. There are so many times we are out and I will ty to share with my husband exactly what I am looking at and he sees it but he doesn’t see it the way I do. I suppose this site really helps in showing the rest of the world the things that move us. You can “Pin” just about anything. Photos, Fabric, Colors, Websites, Clothing, Home decor. The sky is the limit. And its NOT just for Photogs. It can be all about what your all about! If you want to follow mine and see what I am all about you can find me HERE.

    3. Etsy. I can’t say enough about Etsy. If you are a photographer and you are reading this post you are thinking yeah duh. But if you are a photography client or a potential client of mine you may very not well be aware of Etsy. You want to get on that like umm yesterday lol! Etsy is a network of people that sell amazing home made and/or vintage items. Most of their products are custom in nature and you can check a sellers credibility in their reviews left by others. I utilize this site for photography props but also for clothing and toys for my children. I also love that I am supporting other moms (or dads)  like myself that are trying to help make a living in a less then perfect economy. You can find just about anything on etsy! If you have an upcoming session you really wanna check them out because they sell the cutest clothing, tutus and other fun things that really spice up a session!

    4. Target.com. Or Target in general. If you are in their store check out the very front of the shop where they keep all their dollar goodies. Umm I go nuts lol! And while I hardly have space for it all and it usually ends up demolished or in the bottom of my kids toy box I usually get to use them as props first! They are cost effective, fun and seasonal so always changing in inventory!! Also the kids clothes are darling! Their clothes are super reasonable, versatile if you have hyper active children like mine that seem to stain EVERYTHING, and sooooo insanely cute! I tend to go overboard!

    5. Realtor.com. Yeah so you can’t really shop here and it has nothing really to do with photography but we are shopping for our first home and I am ALWAYS on this site lately lol! I figured it def had a spot on this list for me! I also am looking for a home that will accommodate a home studio so I guess maybe it will come in hand eventually if you are looking for indoor photos from me!!

    g. Flash Sales Sites. Places like Zulily, Hautelook and The Mini Social! They are addictive, affordable and FUN! They feature new and fun sales every day with boutiques and retailers hard to access online for GREAT prices. Some focus mostly on children’s goodies while others like Hautelook have something for everyone!!

Hope you all have a fabulous day! I am going to soon be starting up the what to wear guides as well so if you enjoy those be on the look out!!
