Lots of Happy Faces | Connecticut Family Photographer

This particular session I admit was very last minute. I know I mentioned not taking on anymore outdoor family sessions this year because it gets SO cold these winter months here  however when the fabulous Cathy West contacted me to take photos of herself with her gorgeous extended family (including one sweet mama and daughter pair I had the pleasure of photographing twice this year) there was no way i could say no. You see Cathy West is not only a published author and amazing talent but she also comes all the way from Bermuda! I had heard such glowing things about her from a friend of the family I couldn’t resist. This family was so much fun! When I arrived to the family home with gear in tow there was such a warmth and everyone looked wonderful.  Cathy was so kind and genuine and we got to chit chat a tiny bit before we started shooting. I learned a bit about her very talented daughter whose name also happens to be Sarah and who also happens to be a photographer. It was quite cold outside and we had a bunch of little ones to photograph so I was a tiny bit apprehensive because this time of year does get quite cold in Connecticut but when everyone was ready and we headed out side to their GIANT back yard we did manage to get at least a few fun shots of the family. They definitely get brownie points for trying lol!

Here are just a few from our couple of hours together! We ended up moving everyone inside because it got to be too much for the poor babies and they were like little ice cubes. Since I am not in the business of giving my clients hypothermia I thought it was only fair! I honestly prefer to be outside so I have room to work but it wasn’t bad at all! We got some fun photos!
