M4H P52 “Wild” Winner and Eye Candy
I am so excited about this past week’s theme “Wild”, and all the fun possibilities. The image submissions over the past months have been so creative, so beautiful that each week just gets better and better! The winner this week will grab a $40.00 Gift Card to my shop towards any Actions, Textures or Presets of their choosing. Please be sure to email me if you win the theme.
Here was my image for this past week. From being in the Rocky Mountains, and the rugged scenery, to the pure delight on our daughter’s face and the wild flowers in her little hand I just couldn’t resist this one!
Winner: (This cracks me up lol!!)

This is a natural stone wall in the countryside that is covered with paintings of wild animals..the texture of the walls make the animals very life-like…coupled with the wild plants..was ideal for this week’s theme!

This child of mine has perhaps the sweetest and gentlest disposition of my children. She can often be found prowling about the garden, finding all sorts of bugs, birds, and other creatures. She is a nature girl, and seems to be in her element out in the wild. She often dresses the part, as well.

OK … we weren’t experiencing much “wild” over here this week. In fact the road I travel is often actually not very wild. This is the path I take across the fields and railway track to football training … in spite of the fact it’s a 15 minute walk … this is the “short cut”!! Arrggghhh!! It’s gone from NO VEGETATION to THIS in a very very short time! Nettles galore! This is my WILD! π

I love how wild fireworks are – the boom, the explosion, the colors – I’ve loved them since I was a little girl. We watched these last night in a small town near my parents home. I was pretty impressed with their show for a just a little town. I’ve been told that you haven’t really seen fireworks until you see them at Disney. Maybe someday.

We went to a botanical garden this week and inside is a butterfly house with thousands of exotic and now some native butterflies flying around. Being enclosed in a huge house is about as wild as these butterflies will ever get but they are gorgeous.

My daughter and I were at he beach. I was hunting for a place to do a shoot. These four girls walked by and when their backs were to me..I couldn’t believe their hair! I ran up and asked them if I could take pictures of them. They were a little hesitant..’Who is this strange woman!’ By the end of our little session, they were giggling and laughing and all was well. I love meeting people like this!

This child of mine has boundless energy, can be wildly animated, have dramatic emotions, and feels free to speak her mind. I am raising the “Spirited Child”. But her wild passion and enthusiam for life is her heart and soul and my muse. I love her to pieces!

This is the wildest thing I can come up with this week. I am visiting my sister In the country. This is one of her horses. His name is “Journey.” One of his eyes is a really pretty blue & the other is a really dark color, black or brown, hard to tell exactly..anyway I think he looks kind of ”wild.” My sis is excited I am posting her horse for this weeks theme. π

I love the farmer’s market- the fresh smells of the produce, the unique fruits and vegetables, the bright colors. There’s nothing better than items fresh from the wild.

Australians often hear of other countries believing that our streets are wild with Kangaroos and that our children ride them to school, hehe… Unfortunately this is not the case (as awesome as that sounds).
But, I am lucky enough to have these national treasures visit in my very own yard. They often graze on the grass in small groups and it’s so lovely to watch them from our deck.
When I spotted them this week I thought it would be perfect for the theme. Unfortunately, it wasn’t easy to be creative with the capture. It was in the middle of the day with the sun overhead and I didn’t have my zoom lens handy so I had to try to sneak up on them and get close for the shot.
Watching animals in the wild is definitely a favourite past time of mine and I’m so blessed that Australia is overflowing with it.
Next time I will try to capture a Drop Bear π

Lucy, Lola and Lydia for a school holiday playdate. No idea of where we were going or what we were doing for our ‘girly adventure’. Ended up at the beach (it is Winter in Australia) and these girls went wild. They discovered that the rocks when rubbed with water made a paste…as per usual, my daughter took it to the enth degree and painted herself all over, including her tongue! Yes she is wild; and I love her to peices.

Are you there God? its me, Adi’s mummy. Please let her look at this photo one day (soon) and say “yeah.. my wild, funky-colored hair rocks!”

{wild}, unruly, and spilling everywhere; that’s how I wll remember not just her hair but her 21/2 year old girl spirit one day when she is a woman.
