My daughter brought this to me to show me how beautiful it was. My favorite color is blue and the babies know this!

The apples represent Apple Records and also the four Beatles. They eventually all went off and did their own solo thing.
The only Beatles song in my head this week is Come Together, however it keeps getting overpowered by a Sesame Street song……….
One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn’t belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others
By the time I finish my song?

This guy got to try the knee board for the first time on the lake last night. It was a bit hard for me, to see him by himself behind the boat, but he was grinning ear to ear & couldn’t get enough!

M4H Week 32/52: Solitary
This week all the older kids were with their Dad, so he had us all to himself. He was soaking up this moment all to himself on the merry go round and it was so sweet.

huge contemplation here in whether or not to submit this. but she insisted. “go ahead aniya, i know there are other women like me out there”… what did she mean? i’ll tell you..
as young girls, we are taught to keep many things to ourselves, to essentially hide part of who we are… as teens we often rebel against this – short shorts, crop tops.. as women, we choose to hide our bodies. our decisions to be mothers often leave marks that the world regards as undesirable. it takes courage to rebel against the world as we did as teenagers. and as women, we can take it further.
so what did she mean? she is not alone in thinking her body isnt perfect, she is not alone in thinking that she’s been “ruined” by gracing this world with 3 beautiful children. she is not alone in not seeing in herself what everyone else can see in this image… beauty.
she wanted me to submit this image, and she wants every woman to know…
you are not alone.. and you, are….. beautiful

Week 32 “Solitary”
I have been feeling a little sorry for myself since my husband started his new job where he is gone 3 weeks a month. I am very thankful he has a good job but I’ve been lonely without him. I was having one of these lonely, solitary moments when this sunset happened. I was in awe and thought to myself that no matter how lonely I feel, I’m not alone…ever. I have a God who creates sunsets like these, precisely when I need the reminder that He is with me. This weeks theme of “solitary” just made everything fall together that much more.

Week 32/52 {Solitary}
Solitary = Me…especially now that my last baby started Kindergarten today. My role in the world I know has changed. In an instant, I have gone from being needed every waking moment to having a completely quiet house with no one to answer to but myself. I should be excited..I can finally get things organized, work on my designs, go shopping by myself….but, I just keep looking at the clock waiting for 3 o’clock to get here so the chaos can ensue once again!

Solitary week 32 | the lone foot of my son as he swims and explores the pool. Also signifies how I feel shooting underwater. The quiet, no shutter sounds, no direction, just a more focused way of shooting. I have to really plan out my shot much more underwater…you know the lack of air thing makes you more deliberate in what you want to capture before heading under alone

My almost 3 y/o “baby” broke her arm this week. I think it’s been tougher on me than it has been on her. Wearing an immobilizing band and only being allowed to use a {solitary} arm didn’t come close to stopping this little firecracker
