  1. Pure, Simple, Sweet | Fort Collins, CO Lifestyle Photographer

This year I have began a brand new journey in my Photography ventures. I absolutely adore family photography. I love the connection. I love the emotion. I love it all.

For the past couple of years however, I have been honestly avoiding taking on newborn work because I have been trying to really dig deep and figure out what I wanted my images to say. I wanted them to go so much deeper than pretty photography. I wanted to offer my clients something timeless, yet something special and unique to them. I wanted them to have a true keepsake of these early days. They are so fleeting. You just don’t get any of this time back.

I think I have finally found my very own niche. I was invited to this beautiful family’s home to capture their newborn… but also their family, because every time we welcome a child into this world our entire dynamic changes. This is only scratching the surface. I want the real. I want the raw. I want to feel the love just emote from the images I take for the people I have the privilege of photographing. I want to truly capture them as they are and WHO they are. I want the hugs and the kisses and the snuggles but I also want what some would consider mundane. Things like family dinners, play and story time, arts and crafts, tickles and giggles and the quiet in between moments. And I have a feeling these sessions will evolve greatly as I take them.

And if this sounds right up your alley please do message me because I am now opening bookings on a full time basis for just this. Since it is a new venture I am offering a 15% discount on our session packages for these particular sessions.

I present the beautiful Peters Family:

  2. Light and Love | Fort Collins, CO Maternity Photos

When sweet J invited me to her barn to photograph her maternity session I was instantly inspired. I admit I have a bunch of beautiful locations in my back pocket. Colorado is a special place, but being able to meet my clients in a place that is meaningful to them is all that  more special.

They have the most wonderful family connection. Aside from the gorgeous farm setting, the foothills off in the distance, the light that day, and of course their beautiful animals, J was just radiant. The love her and her husband share is so transparent and so special and to say I am honored to be able to capture that, even in some small way…is an understatement. They were completely open to my crazy experimentation and we even got to get in the pen and play with their animals. Being shoulder to shoulder with a horse is such an amazing experience in itself. They have such a majestic regal quality. I can only imagine the special childhood their little boy is going to have surrounded by all of this.

And we had FUN! Their pup was an assistant of sorts running up to me as we snapped photos and even took a moment to pose for me. Their horse took a special liking to my afghan and tried to well… eat it at one point haha, but aside from that even nuzzled Mama’s belly and SMILED. Yes! If you haven’t seen a horse smile it’s pretty adorable. It was almost something out of a movie scene going through the images.

We opened season just a bit earlier this year since our travel schedule is a bit more hectic than previous years, and this was the perfect way to kick everything off. I can not wait to photograph their sweet baby when he arrives. He is already so loved. It is just abundant and obvious that this family is something amazing and special.

Thank you for allowing me into your beautiful world.
