M4H P52 “Seasons” Eye Candy
As you all very well know (or not) I have been plagued with blog and server issues and it has put a lot of personal projects and not so personal projects on halt. It has been frustrating to say the least but I have been diligently backing up on my end while I wait for a resolution so I decided to move forward. Unfortunately now we also have a HUGE game of catch up which I will be playing until we leave for CT (which will probably end up resorting to another huge game of catch up lol!) This post I am afraid won’t be as lengthy as usual but I wanted to at least show a few of you off. So here is a condensed version of eye candy from Seasons. The following theme “Texture” will be following later this week with some eye candy for that!!

Childhood is a short season. ~Helen Hayes
“And [he] sailed back over a year
and in and out of weeks
and through a day
and into the night of his very own room
where he found his supper waiting for him
and it was still hot”

Week23 Seasons
This weekend has been very rainy around my town. It will rain for HOURS, the slow steady kind, where everything is just soaked through and through. This is a pretty common pattern for North West Florida, and we learn to take advantage of the little breaks between downpours!

In South Florida, it doesn’t seem like we really get a change of seasons. ; ) However, the one real mark of “summer”, are the daily afternoon thunderstorms. Here’s my sweet girl playing in a puddle after a recent end-of-day downpour.

Nothing better than splashing in the puddles after a summer rainstorm. Although, my son would beg to differ, lol. He did not enjoy it. But my little free spirit had a blast,

Anyways life is good and I couldn’t be happier with where I’m at!

It’s the season of love … technically it is summer. But when these two are together – it’s love.

Tis the season of having light past 8pm! 🙂 My favorite part of late spring/summer is having light earlier and later in the day. My boys like it too, so they can play outside longer!

Week 23 – Seasons
Here in Australia, it’s the end of autumn, start of winter (not my most favourite season – I’m much more of a summer girl!). We waited til the end of the day for this photo, and true to winter form, no sun was to be seen for a nice bit of sunflare!! I still love the autumn leaves though.

23/52 – Seasons
Earlier this week, as I was hanging out some laundry to dry in the sun, I thought about how much I love the seasons of spring and summer.
Then I took the thought a bit deeper and thought about the season of life we’re in right now, and how rapidly it’s changing as our children rapidly grow (most notably the baby of the family).
I dug out a few of her outfits from the last 16 months and hung them on the line, to depict not only this season of life but also the warmth of summer!

A winter’s morning walk cut short; caught out by the rain. It’s unseasonably cold, wet ….and a bit slippery in our neck of the woods at the moment!

Week 23 “Season”
This week is emphasizing on whatever season we are experiencing now. We are going through the start of Summer, gearing up for the harvest that will be coming in full force. Shelling peas, stringing, breaking beans, shucking corn, peeling and quartering tomatoes and apples for canning. As I go through this season, I cant help but get a strong sense of closeness to my ancestors, knowing that they also went through this yearly ingathering . I can remember sitting on my granny’s front porch, shelling peas or stringing beans as a small tot. I so miss those days, but I am so thankful for the memories and the skills that she passed on and those that our ancestors had passed on through her. Alot of hard work, but the end results are so worth it all !!!

Week 23/52 – Seasons
Summer usually means strawberries at least at my house. We call it Strawberry Season. So I thought I’d take a picture of strawberries since it is only for a short time that they are here. And I love them. I could eat them day in and day out.
And I am also quite proud of myself! I took this photo on Friday and edited it yesterday, so that is a huge improvement already for me 🙂 Hope it lasts and hope I can maybe start posting the photo a little earlier in the week too, but we’ll see! Happy Sunday everyone!

One of the ladies whose photo is posted above said..” thank you for giving me a sense of believing in myself with my photography. It means so much!” I couldn’t have said it any better! You always choose such a variety of photo styles and I love that about this group. You give everyone a chance! Thank you Sarah!
