I had other ideas for this week’s theme, but my son just happened to dig this pinwheel out of the garage today and it was pretty breezy out…cue lightbulb in my head. Amazing what a slow shutter speed can do! I love the blur of colors and the circles that the pinwheel’s movement makes. It just makes the image so dynamic.
(Be sure to contact me sweety so I can get you your prize!)
And some favs from this week!

Week 15/52: This is a mini kite that my son got this week. Laying on my back on the sidewalk, taking photos towards the sky, I’m sure the neighbors were wondering. π

These aren’t my girls, they’re my neighbor’s girls. But they’ve played a big roll in my life the last few months. I love how caring, and sweet they are with my two little ones. These girls are going to grow up and be very kind, smart, and strong just like their mama. They have showed me what it’s like to be silly and not care who’s watching, smile even when times are hard, and play even went you want to huddle in bed. I’m going to miss them when we move and their mama too.

Project 52: Week Fifteen: Movement
Movement is such a broad theme because there is so much you can do with it. I took a few photos throughout the week but just didn’t care for them too much. Took my little cousins to the zoo the other day and put them on the carousel and took this shot. I love it.

So I had a couple of other shots for this week: Tobias splashing in a self-created mud bath, Miriam pouncing on Toby while he was down-and-out… But at 6pm this evening as I’m in the kitchen cleaning up dinner I hear my husband say, “oh no! Liz, come see this!” Yes, our Miriam had her way with the tissue box. (My husband was sitting not 3 feet from her. I guess the hockey game was that riveting π Big sis got in on the fun and thus we captured “movement”. Seems fitting as this girl is on-the-go. She just learned to walk and it’s always exciting to see how movement can open a whole new world to these little ones. π

Movement 15/52
I LOVED this week! And as a kid I loved spinning; those were the first rides I’d run to at fairs and amusement parks. :o) So it’s been fun being a kid again with my little girl! But with that I’ve learned to stop and hold onto moments for as long as time will let me. So this image juxtaposes the stillness of moments we hold onto while time keeps moving us along on the amazing journey ahead of us (o:
Also used M4H eye candy textures on this: texture 23 (normal 100%) linked to texture 19 (soft light 76 %) and texture 7 (soft light 100%) and taking the color out of them all. Loving these textures!

15/52 [Movement] The Dance
I call this The Dance! I watched my neighbor’s nephew “dance” with his skateboard in the sunlight for about 2 seconds flat, and then I couldn’t help it! I attacked him with my camera. He was a little shy at first, but I know he is going to LOOOOVe having these pics!
I’ll add the rest of the series too

not sure what makes more sense as fitting the theme movement – the boy (in perpetual motion) or the water…so let’s say both.

Moving Mountains
I had so many ideas I wanted to play with for this week’s theme but ran out of time. I found inspiration for this week’s theme today while watching some experienced rock climbers do what they love.
Watching their every move – from rock to rock, climbing higher and higher, concentrating so hard – a look of sheer determination glued to their face. They are definitely to be admired.
