These cuties were participants of my Little Miss M4H contest earlier this year. Their mama traveled out to me from New Jersey. Let me just tell you. They are one special family. I adored these little princesses. So much personality and their mama has a heart of Gold. Without being to personal she really inspired me with some of her struggles she shared. She is a huge supporter of the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep organization. I did link them but know that this site is powerful and emotional and not for the faint of hear. Proceed cautiously. Especially if you are an expectant or new parent or have dealt with the loss of a child.

Actually the timing was crazy because I had just been doing a bit of field research prior to our session and have been considering getting involved. For those that do not know about NILMDTS they are a network of professional photographers that go out to the hospital and photograph the last precious moments a family gets to spend with their newborn. It is the one gift I believe that you can give a family that will continue to keep on giving forever. If I can work up the courage I may definitely pursue this some day.

I will be mailing these off to you super soon Miss C but I wanted you to see a glimpse of whats coming! Thank you so much for coming to me. It was such a special session for me. You have two of the most precious girls I have ever had the pleasure and honor of photographing!

Finally.. Lightroom Presets | And Last call to Save

I have been developing these Lightroom Presets for EONS. I mean ages and ages and ages. I am somewhat of a perfectionist and wanted to deliver something that I was incredibly proud of. Something that I loved and would utilize myself. I didn’t want to sell presets simply because I could but because it was something I would want in my editing arsenal. I have to say developing these were somewhat of a eye opener. I generally use ACR and Photoshop Cs5 when I edit my photos and while I have to say I LOVE them still (and will always be a hardcore Photoshop fan) Lightroom definitely has a place in my bag of tricks! I also plan to try to make these ACR friendly at some point. They will however most not likely be released in action form and will most likely be unique to Lightroom.

I also did a quick call for images to test and play with on my FAN page. You guys really came through and wow did you ever make it hard on me to decide who’s images to show case. I decided to choose a couple RAW submissions and a couple JPEGS. Let me tel you I had almost 300 submissions total. You all were on the ball!
