What A Day in The Park with Friends looks like | A Special Personal Project

As some of you may have noticed I have been committing myself to this project for at least a few months now! I absolutely love it! Its been incredibly precious to me and it has been really important for me to be pertinent in getting my camera out and remembering to photograph my own family!! I have been taking it easy this year to focus on my children and the time I have with them so I have been easing off of sessions a bit and soon the sessions will all be beginning so I am trying to get every extra bit of family time in I can now. I have also been trying to remind myself that perfection isn’t important the memories and the little things are. So here are my lifestyle images of my family doing what they love most! Spending time together. Just reveling in each other’s company and being their sweet little silly selves!

Summer break will be here in a day or so and my children are showing all the excitement and anticipation of that very event! I absolutely love summer vacation. I love the lazy mornings, the loud chaotic household and the spontaneity of day to day living with my four children. My oldest daughter turned ten on May 29th so we surprised her with a picnic in the park with her closest friends and of course us. We got out the fruit and the juice boxes and the sun tan lotion and parked out behinds on the grass at a local park and let them at it. They played duck duck goose, red light green light and hot potato. They raced and giggled and of course as there usually is with a larger group of kiddos there was a bit of fighting and tears but they rebounded fairly quickly!! The highlight for the boys seemed to be blowing the balloons up half way and letting the air out so they made obscene noises and the girls loved me painting their finger nails! We ended the day by digging into a huge butterfly shaped cupcake cake and singing happy birthday to my little preteen herself! She thought it was the best birthday ever and I had to agree! I tried not to be too intrusive with the camera as I really wanted to enjoy the day as it was so I resorted mostly to cell phone camera photos but made sure to get a few for the album so she would be able to look back and remember her self proclaimed favorite birthday!!
