Sharing is Caring | Quick Action Before & After

I am totally on a Whimsy kick right now!! Just a quick unedited Before and after using Whimsy from the NEW Vintage Crush action set. This is my sweet Sophie btw. 🙂

I also used Soft Pop from the Photographers tool box as well as a Selective DOF from The photographers Tool Box. Last I used Stark Contrast from a Very M4H Tool Box and Warm me up tweaked to taste from The Photograpers Tool Box. On her eyes I used Eye Ballin it to bring out the shadows a smidge and then detail sharpen from Newbie Fix (on the lips as well at a lower opacity!) And Voila! This all seriously took me like 3 minutes!

I thought being I just released the new Vintage Crush action set I would share a quick example of one of my new favorite actions in the set “Whimsy* It gives a soft ethereal feel that lends almost a Fairy tale quality to your photos and is extremely tweak-able to suit back lit images especially! I am using a photo taken about an hour prior to sunset. It was backlit with a bit of flare in the mix. I shot this photo with my Canon 5d Mark II and Canon 35L lens and my settings were: Ap 1.4, SS 1250 and ISO 100. I would honestly have even closed my ap down a tiny bit to get Lily (my daughter in the pink dress) a bit more in focus but it was a very off the cuff moment I didn’t want to miss. We were in Boston Commons Park and it was just gorgeous! We were there celebrating my daughters 9th birthday. (We are from Mystic but headed to the Boston Mass area to take her to the American Girl doll store as a birthday surprise) Anyhow Im rambling to the photo editing we go!
