As a note, some of you may have noticed there are some changes on Flickr. Unfortunately sharing still isn’t enabled on a few images added to the group so I couldn’t feature them for eye candy. Handpicked from my happy place.
Washed ashore and discovered on my local beach.
Not so much anymore… but for a while there I had a shell finding addiction. I soon started feeling guilty that I was ‘stealing’ from the ocean so most shells ended up back where they came because I decided to take them back when we moved house.
I did keep a vase full of favourites. Maybe one day I’ll put them back too.

these past few weeks little miss has not liked getting her picture taken… unfortunately she is almost 2 and aunt Lindy and i have been trying so hard to get a good bday card photo. That being some of the best pictures are taken when you don’t even know the camera is out. Perfect pastel imperfections one boot on one boot off.

A few little treasure’s we took from my Dad’s house. The old Scalextric car is the one thing I really wanted. I have fond memories of those little cars my Dad had on shelves. They also remind me of my Dad’s weird and wonderful collections of board games, penguin books, hornby trains, antiques, pottery, tin tin memorabilia and music. (amongst other things). It’s nice to have a little bit of him in my home. It’s the little things that really matter when it comes to holding onto memories.

Baby boy is 3 months old. I took him over to my parents and photographed him on my childhood bed. 🙂 These days his hands are still flailing but with a little more purpose and always over/on his head. Crazy to consider how this little person, just a few months ago, was squirming and flailing in my belly. Creation is awesome.

Black and white?

I got really bored of studying English so I decided to play with the lighting in my studio.

I did the forced changes in the gradient of the vignette on purpose. For some reason I like how it looks better than a smooth gradient. You might not be able to see it…but I see it pretty clearly on my computer, so I’m going to guess you do to lol.

Back to studying! Next exam on Tuesday. Yay.
