M4H P52 Theme “Earthy” Winner and Eye Candy
Last Week’s theme was “Earthy.” I am beyond excited to get into our flickr pool and love all over your beautiful images but in the mean time since I am day late on eye candy I am going to hop in to our post. I want to thank you so incredibly much for your kindness and patience as well. Our family welcomed our newest member, our sweet little boy Ezra William late Saturday and we are just soaking him up.

So it’s been snowing and rainy here…Not the greatest inspiration to say the least…So Miss Mady and I took a globe of the Earth and went out to Good Earth State Park and in the middle of the spitting rain I managed to capture this image that melts my heart…The whole world is before her…what an amazing Earth we live on!

M4H Week 46/52 Earthy
Most of our trees are losing their leaves here, but when I stopped at one of my offices this week this one still had so many beautiful red leaves. The sun was rising and the light was just lovely in our beautiful world. I used my iphone4 here as I had been keeping my big cam on hold for a birth that I was expecting to photograph this week.

M4H 46/52: Earthy. Mushrooms have always been one of the most earthy vegetables to me. The taste, and the fact that they often come with little clumps of dirt still on them, adds to this. I have never found a Smurf in a package of mushrooms, though.

Week 47 {Earthy}
I thought I better get this week’s photo challenge out of the way early as our weekend is nothing but hockey hockey hockey….and I am pretty sure my hockey images I take won’t be very “earthy”. A friend of mine said she was looking for an old pair of figure skates to decorate her home with and I remembered that in one of the old buildings by my home there were a pair of skates just sitting on one of the old stoves. I told her I would go and get them for her. So the cat, the dog and myself ventured off for a walk….note to self, don’t take a white dog across a muddy field. She won’t stay white for long. Regardless I got the skates, and while we were there I thought I’d snap a picture of them. I loved the old vintage tones to this image. I couldn’t help but wonder about the memories that lie behind these skates…..Happy Wednesday everyone!

It was a perfect spring afternoon to sit upon a mossy log and tell teddy bear stories 🙂

My daughter loves to do crafts. I am always trying to find new fun ideas but sometimes the oldie but goodies are the best! When we were at the gardens she found some pine cones and we took them home, I knew exactly what we were going to do with them! Gobble gobble : )
