Super Sappy Caption available on Flickr Here.

And as always if you are the Winner for this week contact me via the Fan Page, Contact forms or the email in the info area of the Facebook fan page and I will send you an action set or preset collection of your choosing!

As a note, some of you may have noticed there are some changes on Flickr. Unfortunately sharing still isn’t enabled on a few images added to the group so I couldn’t feature them for eye candy. If you would like to be considered for eye candy be sure to enable sharing on the images you add to the group so I can show ya off! If you aren’t comfortable with doing so and still would like to be featured you can also upload your image to our project 52 group on Facebook HERE.

M4H 16/52: Mine. At the age of 37, I sometimes think of the things I used to be able to do (splits, back walkovers, run without knee pain, look in the mirror and not see any grey hair) and this can get a little disconcerting. But the bottom line is that my body is mine, and my life is mine, and it’s all I carry with me each day that will remain constant. I need to recognize all the good things that it can do and how strong I still am and I need to continue to take care of this body of mine. It’s the only one I’ve got.

    Week 16 | Mine

    Week 16 | Mine

I would have liked to have used a picture of my children for this week’s theme, as they are the MINE that I am the most proud of, but my husband and I are on an adult’s only vacation and that just wasn’t in the cards for this week. Instead, I am forcing myself to step way, way far out of my comfort zone and step in front of the camera.

My body is not what I want it to be. It has curves and lines and scars that I struggle to contain and hide, but the truth is, those curves were built from much needed date nights out with my husband and happy hours with my dear friends. The scars and lines were created after nurturing, birthing and nourishing three healthy babies. This body and all it’s imperfections are mine and I am trying to embrace that.

Alyssa has been asking to play baseball for easily a year now. Today Dad found a mitt second hand, already worn in and ready to go. It’s all hers, you’d think she’d worn it for years. She’s gone to bed with it tonight. No question she’s claimed MINE on this one.

Moments can define you. For me it was living with Cancer. It can be so overwhelming. Sometimes I cry. Sometimes I get frustrated. But in then end I remind myself that this challenge is what shaped me into the person I am today. It gives me hope, perspective, and growth.

Be kind. Be positive. Cherish everyday, and watch yourself bloom. xo
