M4H Project 52 Week One “Resolutions”, 40% off Sale & A Happy New Year!!!!!

Welcome! Welcome! I am so excited about our VERY First week in the Project!!! First and Foremost I want to wish you all a VERY Happy New Year! I hope 2012 holds many great and special things for you and yours!! I also want to apologize in advance for the quick post this week! We have been hit hard with the stomach flu and I have been tending to my sweet daughter Sophia around the clock so I am a bit fuzzy right now!

If you are brand spankin’ new and have no clue what I am referring to you can find complete details in this post HERE. You are also welcome to sign up with our group on flickr and share your wonderful images with us all there! The group is right HERE. If you don’t really dig flickr and still want to play along that is also no problem at all! Just upload your photo to a photo sharing site of your choice (Photobucket or even Facebook for example) and post right here in the comments!!

To summarize things Project 52 is a Photo a Week for a Year. There will be a theme provided each week but the photos do not need to follow the theme at all! This project is about YOU and your family! These will be your precious keepsakes at the end of the year!

The theme we will be starting off with for the very first week is “Resolutions.” I choose this word in honor of the New Year! Happy 2012 by the way Everyone!!! So excited to kick off a New Year with everyone!! Resolution can be represented any way you like it too! Use your imagination! It doesn’t even have to be meant in the sense of the whole traditional New Years resolution. I can not wait to see what you come up with!!

I will be back to share my own submission this week! My sweet two year old came down with a VERY nasty stomach bug and I am officially on 48 hours with no sleep so I haven’t had much time to put my ideas into fruition! Pray that this bug flees soon and it doesn’t make its way through our house! I will also be following up with a post and a new theme a week from today. I will be featuring a hand full of the gorgeous photos shared on flickr and here in the comments as well as choosing a winner for the week to win a $25.00 Gift Card to Amazon.com!

This week will run From January 1st-January 7th (but totally okay if you uploaded sooner those will totally count).

Also note that you do NOT need to use my actions, textures or presets on your photo submissions! These are your art and you can totally edit them anyway you see fit. (Or not edit them at all!! Totally up to you!!) If you do want to though you are totally welcome and in honor of the New Year and our project take 40% off this week only on all actions, textures and presets using the code Happy2012.

I am thrilled we have had such a positive response to this project!! We have almost 650 people and growing every day on flickr!! I hope you will share the love and spread the word because the more the merrier and I always LOVE to see new faces! Also feel free to stop by the fan page!! I always love to read your comments and see your beautiful photos!!

Thank you for doing this, it’s so exciting and inspiring! One ((dumb)) question… do the photos have to be taken the week of the challenge? I noticed on flickr some pics were taken a long time ago, but many the week of the challenge. I want to make sure I’m not breaking the rules if I posted a photo from last year! Thank you!!!

Hi Tiffany! The point of the project is to get a new photo every week for the year. I am letting some people slide if they were taken up to a week before the challenge was posted since some people got a head start but when the winner for the week is chosen if they are older then that they will not unfortunately be considered. <3 The details were in the post linked in this one on how the challenge works and what the rules are. Thanks a bunch sweety!
