Mama and Me | Old Town Fort Collins Photographer

Ever since we have moved to Colorado, Old Town has had a special place in my heart. From the charming works of art literally splashed on walls and beautiful hand painted pianos, to the gorgeous alley ways and unique shops- I could spend hours and hours down there. When I had a gorgeous Mama and her little ladies completely open to allow me to capture them there, I about lost it (in a good way ha!) and I have since found some more adorable spots with a ton of potential. I know the Mountains are crazy gorgeous and Colorado is chalk full of beauty at every turn, but urban has it’s own merits and this place is perfection if you are looking for something special and kitschy.

Mama has since had her little guy, and I will be photographing their beautiful family some day (sooner than later) I hope!!

This year I decided to schedule a few very special Mama & Me inspired sessions for Mother’s Day. I am now fairly sure I want to offer this as an option on a regular basis. As a mother we are nurturers. We are the strong arms that lift and carry our children close to our heart. We are the ones that our little people run to when someone is hurt, or sad. We are the cuddlers. We are the heart and soul. Often times, we are also not in front of the camera but behind it. I believe we should all make an effort to be in the frame just a bit more. Something that remains when we no longer do. When my grand children and great grand children look on in future generations I want them to see the love in my eyes when I look upon their grandmother, their great grandmother.

I feel incredibly honored to give this gift to K and her beautiful daughter.
