What a Day in the Woods looks like | Personal Project

So you may notice that some of these images were shared in the Letters to our Daughters post so I apologize in advance if you see a couple of repeat images.  The fact of the matter is I took over three hundred images this day and ended up editing more then half and had no idea what to omit and what I wanted to use. The more the merrier right?! I mean most of us photogs have more of an issue finding time to photograph our littles and when the opportunity presents itself and you actually manage to take a bunch and have a bunch of keepers you can’t help yourself. Or I can’t help myself. In any case this day was perfect.  We needed a last hurrah desperately before school started here.  We had done a ton of traveling over the summer and I felt guilty for not getting to spend as much quality family time as we usually did. Most of it was sashaying back and forth between client sessions when we went back east or being back home with their tee-tee (my sister) while Wes and I had to do a bit of work related traveling. It was a blur.  We took our family about an hour away to a gorgeous town called Estes Park here and Colorado and drove up the entire trail ridge (especially special because it is closed a good part of the year being So high up and very in climate and unsafe a lot of the time.  I admit even for me I was a bit scared at first. I mean you drive So high up that you are literally above some of the clouds, you can actually see them looking out your car window. And there are places without much of a guard rail. But once we got down a bit and started to hike and explore the mountain side with the littles it was absolutely breath taking. We wiggled our toes in the stream, we ran, we played and laughed. It was carefree and fun.  I seriously got a glimpse of childhood that day. I can’t wait to do it again! In fact I was giddy when we got in the car to leave and the boys had grabbed their capes. That was totally unplanned and ALL them. They didn’t complain once about me photographing them.  Considering it is normally like pulling teeth to get them in front of the camera I was in momtog bliss. I own it. I was absolutely and insanely happy.  Here is our special trip lifestyle edition to the Rocky Mountain State Park here in Colorado. Well worth the drive. Well worth the hike. And these images WILL be going up HUGE on my walls when we get moved and settled. (We are staying in Fort Collins just looking for a bigger place!)

And because this is image heavy I am linking up to a very special photographer and What her ____ looks like! Be sure to follow the circle. Its a highlight of my month! Here is the talented Wendy Vonsosen Photography’s Post HERE.

These shots are amazing; every single one of them! The fourth one down from the top is stunning though! I have a question if you don’t mind me asking. I’ve been looking into disabling my images from being copied and can’t figure out how to do it. By chance, I clicked on yours assuming that a photographer would have them disabled, and you do. Can I ask how you did that? I figured out code to disable the right click copying but you can still save the image.
