What Silly Sisters Look like | Personal Monthly Project

I am LATE on this. Oy!! We had a really crazy month here. Between settling in, the contest I recently hosted and a slew of other personal things I have been trying to stay on top of of it all and I admit I am lacking majorly. I went through and edited one of my favorite personal series of the month. I had gone back and forth on what I wanted to post on and was thinking deep and emotive and then my girls were just being themselves and I kinda knew this was it.

If you are new to this project there is this AMAZING circle of women I am working with right now. We are sharing a bit of our own lives monthly. We are posting our own lifestyle inspired views of what we live, how we live. Our families, our children, inspiration. All that good stuff.

A little back story on these photos. We had just gotten home from a birthday party and I was focusing on getting that “perfect” photo for my Project 52. The girls were just being their sweet silly selves and it really inspired me that it wasn’t quite so perfect. And can I just say that my mother was TOTALLY wrong about playing with your food. In my opinion.. totally acceptable.

Sarah, your girls are just darling! You have an amazing way of capturing their little personalities. And what is about a couch and a bowl of cheese-its that makes everything better….even with all the crumbs left behind πŸ™‚

so amazingly cute! made me laugh when you wrote “I was focusing on getting that “perfect” photo” that is my life story with my girls. but it’s always the ones that I capture in between those that I love the most.

Sarah, I LOVE seeing a more personal perspective on your blog every once in awhile. I’ve been following your work for awhile and was wondering if you are processing more like film these days? Or is that my imagination? πŸ™‚ Thanks so much for all you do to share inspiration. Your girls are absolutely darling. <3

    8. […] The gift exchange was great this year. My Dad put is some awesome ASU stuff that all the boys wanted, it was the coveted gift this year. We all went home with some pretty good stuff. Then we did fireworks (thanks to Papa), it was perfect for the kids. Next was the crazy polar bear swim, great job guys! Unfortunately my husband had bronchitis this year so it was his first year he couldn’t do it but 4 of the others did it! And we ended with toasting the New Year with our yummy Martenelli from Trader Joes. It was another fabulous year and we can’t wait til the next one! Now head over to my friend Sarah’s site to see her project this month. Sarah Cornish | Colorado Photographer […]
