They brought their own sunshine | Fort Collins Family Photographer

I am so happy to share this darling crew on the blog tonight.

When this Mama reached out, she mentioned never having family photos done before. From there it was important for me to really make the process (and their session) pretty special because I know many times we avoid really getting our family photographed out of anxiety or even fear. It can be a labor of love for sure to get in the frame with our children. It’s so easy to forget we matter too. We get our family photos taken every year as well and let me tell you… getting a family of eight prepared for a photo session is intense haha. It isn’t any easier that I truly loathe being in front of the camera myself– so I can commiserate whole heartedly (usually even more so with Dad haha.)

They were a dream though. I hope they continue this tradition because their family is not only amazing, but this time is just so temporary. Their children are right at that “in between” stage as I like to refer to it. We have a child turning fifteen this year and I feel like she was just eight years old. No kidding. Once they hit that almost double digit stage, it just flies on by. I am almost afraid to blink now.

And because I am so behind on blogging– this was also last summer. Just as awesome today as it was when I delivered their gallery last August though.

As a side note this talented Mama is also a small business owner and makes the most beautiful Photography related gifts. The locket that her sweet girl is wearing down below actually is one of her pieces.

You can find that here. Seamless plug because she is amazing.
