  2. M4H Project 52 Food Winner and Eye Candy

Getting started on our Winner and Eye candy for Golden hour. This week the images were outstanding and choosing was close to impossible!

Also a quick reminder that I am looking towards 2015 and our Project 52 group. I have had the pleasure of hosting this wonderful project for going on four years now. I would love to host this again, but want to be sure of the interest. If there is a project or something else you might want to see in lieu I am completely open to feedback on that as well.

If you are the Winner for this week contact me via the Fan Page, Contact forms or the email in the info area of the Facebook fan page and I will send you an action set or preset collection of your choosing! (If you would like something no pressure ha!)

    Let’s get Started!

This shoot was food for my soul. These two are struggling saving money for their little one’s heart surgery. Liam will have to be rushed to surgery as soon as he is born. I was blessed to be able to gift them a shoot they otherwise would have not be able to afford.

Summer in Australia means all the warm yummy ‘comfort’ food of winter disappears and the more refreshing (and usually healthier in my case) foods make an appearance. Salads, sushi and smoothies in particular!

All our exotic fruits such as mangoes and lychees are in season as well. Such a yummy time of year

My latest addiction… fruit smoothies!!! Every day

    Food (42/52)

As my 9-month-old was crawling over me after finishing nursing I came to a realization: for the greater part of a decade my body has been producing food for little ones. Four humans have been nourished and sustained by the miraculous gift of life – in me and in them. As my final baby becomes more independant by the day, I know this season is coming to a close. While draining (in every sense of the word), it’s simultaneously fulfilling. I find myself on the cusp of finding value and purpose other than “primary food source” – it must be from God. For as my role as “mother” will change, He does not. And never will. The Bread of Life, Provider, Nurturer. Purpose of my soul.

*The necklace has my children’s names engraved, with a momma bird – I hope I teach them to fly. : )

*Photo credit to my hubs who fulfilled my vision (and I completed in post-processing).

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. My biggest and favorite weakness when it comes to food. I have to drive over an hour to get one, but so worth it when we do. Original glazed is the best.

I was between two images this week. This one has more meaning to me. About two months ago we were sitting at the dinner table and we were talking about birthdays and how mine was next. My four year old daughter said “mommy I know what kind of cake I am going to make you…a camera cake”. Fast forward to this week my husband made it happen! Here she is decorating my birthday camera cake…complete with a grip and lens on top! What a sweet girl! Oh and my husband is pretty sweet too…I got a new nikon d750 for my birthday! by Melisa Renee Photography
