California Dreaming

It may be Autumn season in Colorado, but I am still living summer through all these wonderful California images I was able to capture last month. I absolutely adore travel sessions. I love meeting so many amazing people in such a short time period. I love being able to photograph in a different setting than the norm since I am a huge fan of variety (but I am awful at change. let’s make sense of that ha!) We did twelve all together. Yes. Twelve. In a three day period. With that being said, I had two AMAZING assistants and really as exhausting as it was, I got to work all day on a beach in California. Life is pretty grand. One of the most rewarding parts of the experience however was all the new friends I came away with. I tend to book a lot of other photographers which makes my heart happy. It is a high compliment indeed when another Photographer entrusts you with their family. This photographer is an online friend whom I was also so glad to get to hug in person and spend some time with her sweet family. The only downfall to travel sessions is I can’t spend all evening with each client (which I would gladly do given the opportunity.) There just is never enough time.

Thank you, C. Thank you for allowing me to photograph your family, but also for the privilege of spending time with your sweet family and hanging with me. I know each second is a second you will not get back. I know you have a busy, hectic schedule. And I know I feel very blessed to have gotten to capture these fleeting moments, even if only for less than an hour.

The sun was still a bit high, there was not a cloud in sight all weekend and it may have been pretty hot but you would never know by the images. These guys were troopers.
