A Beautiful Connecticut Wedding

This summer I really pushed myself. We did quite a bit of traveling and one of our trips was to head back to CT and shoot a beautiful wedding.  As most know I specialize mostly in Children and Families but love a good challenge so I thought I would push myself to see how I felt about the possibility of adding weddings to my roster. I learned one thing in particular. Weddings are NOT for the faint of heart. The work volume. The fast pace. It really was a completely consuming albeit amazing experience. Would I do it again? It depends on the opportunity. I do think to in order to photograph weddings you really need to gel with the bride and groom. You have to really be able to marry your vision with theirs.

This particular bride is actually my Baby cousin.  We grew up together and in fact she was a bridesmaid on my own special wedding day almost ten years ago. It was so surreal watching her get ready and then walk down the aisle. I was so emotionally invested in this wedding there were so many times I had to choke back tears. Never the less it was an incredible honor and I love these two so very much!! My husband even second shot for me making it a total family affair.

The images are pretty much in the order they were taken. There were MANY, many more but I just chose some of my favorites in the interest of load time. The one thing harder then shooting a wedding may be blogging a wedding lol!!
