What a Typical Summer Day Looks like | Personal Alert

Two personal projects in one day. Sick of me yet.

So you might have noticed in the other post I mentioned the wild fires fairly local to us. We are in no imminent danger but the days the wind picks up in our direction the air quality is pretty horrid and the kids are indoor bound so the days when it clears up we hit the pool and that has pretty much been our summer thus far. It has been a haven for us and it is so much fun to see the kids truly enjoy themselves. More or less we won’t be in Colorado much this summer with our traveling that begins this week so we have enjoyed every bit of the laid back lifestyle we can right now. I will miss these fun pool days with the kids and really look forward to getting back to that before the summer is completely gone from us.

The pool is in our complex. We currently live in a condo while we get ready to start the whole home buying process next year (so scary and exciting) and we have the chance to meet some awesome people and make some great friends. I truly love it here. I will miss it when we do move! These particular images were actually from Father’s Day this year but these images are pretty consistent with what we do when we aren’t home these days! I love how Sophie always seems to have a wedgie no matter WHAT bathing suit she is wearing LOL, or how my boys have the same.exact.goggles but fight over the same ones. Lily is at that fun preteen age and incessantly begs for a bikini (um yeah no) and I pretty much hang out with a book and play life guard. Really though all in all the things that should be frustrating are actually hilarious and I will miss this come fall! In two short months we have masted swimming without floaties for two of our four kids (even in 5 feet woot!), made some new friends and discovered my kids can ravish an entire weeks worth of snack food in two hours at the pool. Oh and that we keep the sunblock companies in business.

And be sure to head on over to The Super Talented Shalonda Chaddock of Chubby Cheek Photography and check out her gorgeous images from this project! You can find her HERE.
