M4H Project 52 Week Simplicity Winner and Favs!

I have a ton of work to do on presets so I am gonna get right into the meat and potatoes of this post! ๐Ÿ™‚ Here are my favs of last week and our weekly winner!! Please email me if you win to claim your prize. <3 Also the winner for next week (the theme is "Emotion") Will be getting a $25.00 gift card to Amazon.com woot!! The theme was Simplicity this week. Can I say how NOT simple it was to pick a fav?!! I finally came on this photo. I admit I was late getting this up but to my defense it was SO hard this week. I was trying to play catch up on comment on everyone's submissions and my goodness you are all so inspiring!! This photo just grabbed me. The moment, the moody dramatic conversion and the composition. Just captivated me. Probably one of my favorite photos I have seen in quite a while!! By: katetraversparker

I tried to focus on elements of composition for this week’s theme. When my husband took my son to play ball at the park yesterday, I had to tag along. I love the simplicity of the this shot, which I think helps draw focus to the subject.

Black and white and up close and personal. No distractions of clothing, background or fussiness. Just the sweet face of my favorite person on earth. Simply speaking, I could stare into these eyes all day long!

I love capturing my children doing the simple everyday things in their life. This week, It is my daughter’s turn to to set the table for dinner, and she takes it very seriously. I love the look of concentration on her sweet face and the gorgeous afternoon light falling through the window.

I love the simple shapes and colors in nature;)

    Alma 37:6-7
6: Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise.

7: And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise and bringeth about the salvation of many souls.

These are my baby monitoring straps which are used to hold the heart beat and movement monitors in place to listen to baby; which I have been wearing every day for the last 5 days as we are now 16 days overdue. It’s funny (ha ha) how something so simple as this has had such an impact on me. They remind me how much I hate hospitals, and that whole environment. Due for induction tomorrow, so I am sure I will be seeing them again in the morning, unless a miracle happens and this baby decides it’s cooked enough.

    Caption:
Simplicity is…the love of a child. Joshua made this mug for me in art class at school. He was so proud to give it to me. Sometimes I don’t feel like a great parent. I see my flaws. But he doesn’t see any of it. He tells me he loves me and showers me with compliments on a daily basis.

    5-52-simplicity

Caption: When I saw this week’s theme, I didn’t know what to do. Nothing is simple to me. Even a plain egg is a miracle, a gift. Then I realized: the only thing simple in my life is the love I have for my daughter. I got my husband to be my tripod and tried my best to pose like a loving mommy. This one was my favorite. I can tell by the look on her face that’s she’s not happy, but you can see that I still love her. That’s *my* simplicity.

    Week 5: Simplicity

    Caption:
When looking around my home for inspiration I found this lone flower resting on our grass absent from life, but so beautiful. It represents everything my life is not right now. For a moment, I felt relaxed and at ease. It reminded me of how simple life truly can be if you take a moment and just look around.

    Week Five - Simplicity

    Caption:
This was inspired by The Bloom Forum’s February Photo a Day Challenge (words), but it also works perfectly for the theme this week. It’s just a simple reminder to myself that life is what you make it!

    P52: Week 5 Simplicity

    Caption:
“The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.”

Love can be complicated. But saying I love you is simple. Don’t hesitate to tell the ones you love just how much you love them today. I was reminded of that when earlier this week a high school friend passed away suddenly, leaving behind her 2 year old son.

So when my husband wrote my daughter a love note this morning and she wrote him one back, I knew it would be my photo for this week! ๐Ÿ™‚
